Hi Folks-
We (5 People) work for IBM company, SFO, today we went personally to the congress men and we submit the letter which is provided in this forum and after that we called state senator office and we explained about our problem. We faxed and email the letter to the senator office, staff had taken my contact details and they told me that they will inform the solution in 2days.

Entire world is turning up against immigration. It is beyond individual/group control to lobby for changes in that area.
It is on the threshold of the time. Right now we as individuals still can make a decision to continue to be in US and wait it out or go back to our home country.
But if this trend continues, I am afraid, some new law will make that decision for us to send us all back. It is just around the corner. Worst part is we can't do a thing about that.
So want to blame anyone, blame your politicians of your native country for creating such a mess that people wanted to move to a different country.

I applied for PERM in Sep 2006 - EB3 - India.
I applied for I-140 and I-485 concurrently in Jun 2007.
on what date in June? Were you one of the July 2 filers? Because you were
not current in June, had you applied, your I-485 would be rejected.
I-140 got approved July 20, 2007 and on July 23, 2007 I received all 4 receipts for I-140, I-485, EAD and AP.
Lawyers emailed saying they also received the EAD card yesterday July 23, 2007.
no July filer has received a receipt for any filing, forget about getting an EAD within 2 weeks.
I-140 premium processing was stopped in July, and in regular NSC has been taking 6-8 months.
Nothing in your story is adding up...

i think they did revise it on July 2nd..didnt they?
But when they revised it on July 2nd they took the original VB offline. Now they bring the original VB back online and they are asking folks look at both of them together.

SriKondoji & I both being from the NE area we communicated through this thread possibility of car polling for DC and I received a call from him last thursday(Aug 9th) regarding this from some Ohio area code. So buddyinus I can at least assure you he was travelling at that time.

Just thought it will be an useful info.
Recently renewed NJ DL with EAD and expired I-94 (Paroled). Following documents were produced at Kilmer Rd DMV:
1) Current unexpired NJ DL
2) Passport with expired I-94 (Paroled)
3) EAD
4) SSN card
5) Address Proof (utility bill)
DL renewed until EAD expiry date PLUS 3 months.

Not to put any dampers here, but this is extremely frustrating for the EB3 India folks. I mean how freakin long do WE have to wait before we get our turn!
I agree with eb3_nepa...waiting with EB3 PD March 2002..original labor certification...people who applied after me getting citizenships...it is frustrating.

even if it is available, the principal applicant wont be able to take real advantage of it. As you cannot switch to company B, without invoking AC21, which kicks in only 180 days after, filing 485.

Cmon stop the rumour. Just because some of you sent the application on 2nd doesnt mean that they will honour it. If and if they do , there will be much more serious and valid lawsuit, because they've already issued a revision from 2nd July. Under law they have to give everyone a fair and equal chance.
So pls stop cooking rumours from your lawyer. He simply doesn't want to pay back your fee and keeping your hope high..

My Wife's H1B is expiring in 30 days. We had filed for extension 15 days back and are waiting under regular processing. I contacted local DMV employee( whom I know personally) and he contacted their legal dept in Sacramento to see if we can extend DL based on extension recipt and the answer has come back that we cannot!
Anyone recently extended their DL based on extension notice in CA? If so which DMV is advisable in the bay area? Thanks

I understand your frustration. Since there is no spillover in the first quarter of new fiscal year, it was expected that PD would move back. How can you you expect 2006 PD for Oct when there is no spillover visa numbers.
Next year Jul-Sep 2009, PD should move to mid 2006 again.
My 2 cents.
Again on Next yr Jul 09-Sep 09 the DOS move the dates to Mid 2006 or Early 2007 and then the ineffiicient USCIS approve the cases with later PD's and leave the Older PD case
Until USCIS fix their system, it will be very hard , The Whole thing is unpredictable and much harder than winning a Power ball or mega million lotterry

I am as frustrated as you are, but I am sure they have a system and management in place. Call it crappy or not.
Their objective is to provide service to the customers, we are their customers, we are giving them exorbitent amount of money as fees. I don't know of any other Organization/Company who provides as crappy service as they do, what would you call their management then ???

What is the visa or immigration status of a person who has H4 visa and 485 pending (has EAD also)?
It seems banks do not understand anything other than Citizenship, GC or H status.
(1)EAD is NOT a status. Your status should be AOS, or H1B, L1, TN or whatever.
(2) I personally know more than a dozen people (including myself) who hgot mortgages, and this was not even an issue.
(3) You have a horse's ass for a lender. Just go to another bank. Countrywide is quite good, in my opinion. Go directly to them, not through a broker.

Thanks for your reply. Infact I talked to the manager(Supervisor) at two DMV locations in Houston TX. First one only told me about this rule. At second place, since I insisted they showed me the rule in writing. I also expressed my frustration asking what kind of rule is this? They just washed hands saying they didn't make the rule and put the blame on texas legislature and parliament! Anyways will try your written rejection letter option.
