You can get NJ DL on reciept and employers letter. Only thing is you need to go to Trenton or other service centers and not in local office. I got it few months back when I was in you situation.

That is $5 billion not %50 billion. This number makes no difference, NYSE trades shock values more then that amount per second.
Thank you..I corrected it. It might make no difference, but when you think about US banks begging for $25 billions each just a few months ago, I dont think you will have the same feeling.

You morons, You have spent so much time in useless discussions and anti-immigrants are laughing at your foolishness. Its high time your greencards applications get a denial or RFE. You will come crying to IV to save your status. Or else you will be deported. That is all you can do. You guys have got sub labor or faked your resumes and now you want someone to be accountable to you. First learn to be accountable to yourself and your values.
Here is what antis are telling you aholes:
As for you fuckers over at Immigration Voice that caused this temporary outage, keep it up. The more time you waste harassing me, the less time you have to send flowers to politicians, begging for your green cards.
Give it up, slumdogs. The whole H-1B thing was like a little tryout to see if you scumbags could fit into American society. Since it is clear that the bigoted, misogynistic caste mentality is ingrained in your DNA, we have to send you home. Maybe we will make you wither in limbo for 10-20 years, dangling a green card in front of your eyes, but the end result will be the same. You will have to leave.
Unfortunately some of you may not live long enough to see that open sewer of a sub-continent again. You may die here in America, in an accident, or by natural causes, or commit suicide like all the techies in India are doing.
Either way, by death or deportation, you will be gone.
And Americans can go back into I.T. once again and reclaim the industry that we created.
STFU you freeloaders

We're lucky that IV leadership is so devoted to 'our' cause. There would be very few individuals in this world, who can even think of selling their house for benefit of a group. Hats off to Aman!!! You're a hero, sir!!!
Now here is our leader selling his personal house for a collective good, and here we are.... a group of 21000 and not more than 2000 (optimistic figure) are contributors... A big shame!!
Those who got benefited by selfless efforts of Aman, and core team, but still did not contribute ... do you have any explanation for 'yourself'?
It's not about $10, 20, 50, 100 .... A person is ready to sell his house for your cause and you can't even make a small contribution in your own cause.
Those who are not contributing, and some who still have doubts, just read numerous media reports of praise of IV and how IV was instrumental in the outcome of July 2nd visa mess. And then..
Just stand up in front of a mirror and ask yourself - is your inaction justified? Is it your pocket that does not allow you to contribute or it's just moral poverty that doesn't let you do it? Is it justified to just 'wait and watch' how others fight for you, and when it comes to reaping the fruits.. you'll run to be first in line.
Is it not the time that you come out, listen to your antar-atma (inner soul) and contribute something for your own fight....?

Contributed $550, includes $50 recurring from july 2007.
Pledged $100 for reimbursing money to Aman and Core Team.

even if it is available, the principal applicant wont be able to take real advantage of it. As you cannot switch to company B, without invoking AC21, which kicks in only 180 days after, filing 485.

ok. How did we miss this? Did we miss a chance to call up the concerned senators?
i was thinking the same thing did we take our eyes off the ball. Seems like people towed the part line during the vote but it still seems like a miss

1. The days of an immigrant waiting to buy a house until he gets his GC have gone. These days H1Bs r buying homes left and right. More than settling, they look at it as a business prospect. I know atleast 5 guys who r still waiting in the wings who've bought homes. Look, u know u r gonna wait until GC and u know u will get ur GC...so why not buy a house? There may be a few who'd be pessimistic about their GC applications and wud think twice b4 making a huge investment and AFAIK, that percentage is very less.
LOL, there is another thread buying a house when 485 processing is pending. Post the above over there and you will see that you would have stirred a hornets nest. People will jump on you.
RNGC,
Personally I think US is not losing as much as it is gaining by not giving us GC, but I appreciate your efforts. We are the real losers here.

I think dates won't (and should not ) move much. So at the end of year we can see big jump and then may be people like me can file I-1485.
Thank's
MDix
Yes and then they should process in LIFO order so people like you can get their GCs :p

I am trying to pay thru PNC Bank. When trying to add IV, there are 2 options. One is With number and the second Without number.
eb3_nepa: Could you please put some guidelines on how to use BillPAy? Sorry for the ignorance.
Can anyone using PNC bank please help Caliber? Surely someone or the other uses PNC bank on here.

The greatness of USCIS is unbelievable!!!!!
When the dates move ahead, to say 2006, the 485s that get approved the most are for people whose PDs are in 2006. The 2004-2005 folks just have to keep starring!!! Then all of a sudden dates fall back to 2003...now only god knows who is yet to be approved in EB2-India before April 2003.
So what it seems like is when the dates move ahead drastically all the people who most recently applied will get approved and for the people who are stuck in backlog will see approvals only if the dates stick around their dates for atleast over a year....until then USCIS doesn't even realize that oh these people are still in queue and we need to approve them!!!
Such a BS to deal with all because of USCIS' GRACE!!!!
Question is, can something be done about it? - USCIS not following any order !!

I totally agree with you. I have read the original message several times too and I am sure they mean June 2008. Our only hope is if they meant Mexico only, and not al EB categories.
I have read the Original quote several times and dont see how they mean June 2007, To me it is clear that they are talking about June 2008.
Sorry to sound so negative, but I think we are looking at something like Sept 2001 for EB3-I in Oct bulletin.

This is going to drag forever. Now, the USCIS will surely get investigated, as they approved some applications without FBI check complete....bunch of idiots in fact. I wonder when Chertoff will resign.....
chertoff will be the one who will be questioning/grilling/waterboarding USCIS....not resigning....

You are only waiting for 7 years. Wait time is calculated from Priority date not the date you enter the country.
Don't talk like a lawyer to her. For all intents and purposes, wait time starts when somebody sets foot in this country with the intention of becoming a permanent resident someday.
